The PTA is a group of enthusiastic parents and teachers committed to raising funds and putting on events to help the school and your children.
The PTA is run by an elected committee, which welcomes the involvement of parents both as committee members and occasional volunteers. To raise funds, the PTA supports lots of events for the children such as Disco Evenings, Christmas Parties, Fairs, Sports Days and a lot more! We also do lots for the adults too... including Quiz Nights and Dance Evenings!
Money has been raised which will be used to enhance the education of our children, but, more importantly, parents, teachers, governors, pupils and others have worked together with a common purpose. In doing so, closer, co-operative relationships have been developed which benefit the school as a whole.
Do you have any ideas? Want to get to know parents from school? Want to get involved? Contact a member of the PTA today!
Every year, we choose a 'big project' which is something large we aim to raise money for. Our last project was to improve the school grounds by adding quieter areas that can also be used as an outdoor classroom, including canopies and benches for the children to use. The school team and the PTA have decided that our aim for this year is to raise money to develop our wildlife area. The children will be able to use the area throughout the curriculum, including science, art and geography.
We are the committee, but everyone is a member of the PTA so please come along to our meetings (refreshments are provided). Please check the PTA information board and blog for dates of upcoming meetings. We look forward to seeing you there.
If you would like to contact the PTA, please see a member of the committee, or email email@example.com.
